Hotel Synopsis

Elegia Boutique Island Resort is a brand new accommodation option in Tinos island, Greece, that combines upgraded facilities and services with a unique architectural design, artsy experiences, and an overall relaxing and rejuvenating environment. Inspired by three major elements of Greek Nature, Light (Phos), Air (Anemos), and Sound (Echos), Elegia manages to shape a unique set of experiences that guide the traveler on a journey along the island’s History, Culture, and Heritage. Elegia is committed to offering a luxury experience in Tinos, not in a conventional way, but through the small "pleasures of life", that are found in even the simplest things — from a warm and gentle smile, to a delicious local dish at the restaurant.

The experience starts at the ‘Elegeia’ Art Library, which is actually the hotel’ Reception. The guests enter a space full of natural light, that is dominated by bookshelves containing books about all kinds of art — from local to global, and from sculpture and painting to theatre and dance. Through its overall design, Elegia manages to offer a truly unique staying experience to its guests, that resembles a visit to a contemporary museum. Across the property’s corridors, as well as within the common spaces and the guest rooms, shelves and showcases feature artifacts and decorative items that satisfy the guests’ curiosity and need for discovery, while at the exterior spaces, an outdoor Museum of Marble Art pays tribute to the island’s long history of marble carving.

The hotel’s Rooms & Suites combine natural materials and design with high-end facilities and technologies, offering a totally modern and upgraded stay. The rooms’ private facilities, such as Private Pools and Hot Tubs, as well as their dedicated Gardens and Yards, ensure the required Privacy and Independence that the travellers seek during their holidays. The larger rooms provide additional accommodation space ideal for small families with one child, while their spacious closets and the dedicated workspaces, make them an ideal choice for remote workers visiting Greece.

Food is an integral part of the Elegia Experience. Its main reference point is the hotel’s main restaurant, Plataea, a word which means ‘square’; and this is exactly what Plataea is: a laid-back, spacious square with a dominant tree in the middle, under which the restaurant’s tables welcome the hotel’s guests. The feeling of having breakfast, lunch or dinner here, is the same as visiting a local village of Tinos, and having a meal at a local restaurant or coffee house — ‘kafeneion’. The food is exclusively based on local recipes and is made of natural ingredients and products from local producers. From the rich breakfast buffet to the all-day menu and the upgraded à la carte dinner menu, Plataea creates the scenery for a complete dining experience, that includes excellent food, a beautiful setting, and an astonishing view to the Aegean Sea.

The hotel’s Retreat Zone includes the most standing-out facilities: The ‘Anemos’ Pool & Bar, the ‘Phos’ Spa & Wellness Area, and the ‘Echos’ Event Spaces. The hotel’s main pool is characterized by an overall lounge atmosphere, while the Pool Bar serves a selection of coffee, drinks & cocktails as well as light snacks, throughout the day. The Spa Area spans across indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a unique opportunity for al fresco Wellness experiences, such as yoga, massage, and meditation. And finally, the dedicated Event Spaces combine indoor and outdoor spaces, for creating the setting for next-gen events, either social or corporate, as well as for curated performances organized by the Hotel, that revolve around arts — music, ballet, theatre.
