Branding & Implementation
In a stunning location overlooking the bay, Patmos Eye is an authentically designed boutique hotel in Skala, Patmos, offering a genuine and relaxing experience perfect for couples, families, and friends seeking an enchanting escape. Inspired by local mansions, the rooms and suites provide luxury with a modern twist and stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Guests can indulge in the mystical gastronomy experience, with sumptuous breakfast rituals and specially curated all-day and private dinners, and unwind and rejuvenate in the serene surrounding of the Cave Pool Spa and and Earthy Patio. Owners Freddy and Marietta become guests' personal concierge, recommending selected experiences on the island that will unveil the true side of Patmos.
The first stage of our Services, which includes the Research & the Typology Study, helped the Hotel Owners take their final decisions regarding the hotel's Typology (type of property, room types, grounds, etc) and its main Features and Facilities, aiming to increase the hotel's ADR as well as its sales potentials from its various departments and services.
During the Hotel Concept Development process, we specified the main idea and the narrative of the new hotel, which will allow it to stand out from the competition. At the same time, we specified all the new hotel's experiences, services, and operation model, in order to help the architectural and design teams to capture all the requirements for its final design.
Hotel Branding & Implementation
In order to have a fuller image of the Concept, we have created an initial branding for the new hotel that captures its feel and essence, and which must be taken into account during the design process. At the same time, we presented a series of indicative applications and implementations of the branding, in order to convey in a more tangible way the feeling that will be exuded during the hotel's visual communication.
The name "Patmos Eye", was the hotel's initial name, and the goal is to gradually become a dynamic local brand. Analyzing these two words of the brand, we conclude that the name of the destination "Patmos", places the property directly in the hotel's location and, the meaning of the "eye", is related to the view of the natural landscape, tradition & history of the place, and also a view to the future.
The designed logo is based on the well-known symbol of the "eye", which is already used at the second property. We thought it was right to keep this element, but with a more modern and contemporary look, which does not reproduce the eye accurately, but it is inspired by shapes and colors, with creative lines and curves. At the same time, the various decorative elements around the eye refer to the local tradition, while its free form shares a "handmade" feeling.
For the completion of the project, Destsetters collaborates with esteemed Architectural and Design teams, in the context of the thorough application of the concept to the overall experience, the correct specification of the anticipated operational needs, and the new hotel's commercial potentials. The Architectural & Design teams are selected by the investors/project owners and play an active part in the overall decisions regarding the development of the new property.
