Hotel Synopsis
The below text is a full description of the under development property, giving all the details regarding the hotel's story, concept, operation, and experiences, that will provide to its guests.
The property which will be converted into a small boutique hotel is in the most central square of the city of Nafplio, Syntagma Square. Given its great location but also the small yet important disadvantages of the property (limited façade, small spaces, no shared facilities), our purpose is to create a dynamic concept that will stand out among the competition.
Considering the profile of the owner and his wishes, the concept focuses on highlighting the history and culture of the city of Nafplio, through a completely freshand modern approach. This modern accommodation presents through linear illustrations various periods and important events from its history (from the Mycenaean years to the modern history of the city), offering valuable knowledge to the visitor but in an unconventional and unexpected way. Besides the modern design approach, key decorative elements of the hotel rooms are also some vintage, black and white engravings, which become part of the concept in an harmonic way.
The general sense of design of the hotel is that of the very bright, light, and pleasant environment, which highlights all the elements we want to emphasize. Great emphasis is also placed on sustainable design, so that the property can integrate harmoniously into the city, respecting the environment, the local community, and its people.
A key feature and main facility of the new hotel is the specialized shop on the ground floor, which focuses on the sale of products related to the orange production (which is, after all, the main professional background of the owner). Epoch Boutique Hotel, located in such a central spot, is expected to draw a lot of the passers-by attention, increasing the general income of the business.
Hotel Typology
The first stage of our Services, which includes the Research & the Typology Study, helped the Hotel Owners take their final decisions regarding the hotel's Typology (type of property, room types, grounds, etc) and its main Features and Facilities, aiming to increase the hotel's ADR as well as its sales potentials from its various departments and services.

Hotel Concept Development
During the Hotel Concept Development process, we specified the main idea and the narrative of the new hotel, which will allow it to stand out from the competition. At the same time, we specified all the new hotel's experiences, services, and operation model, in order to help the architectural and design teams to capture all the requirements for its final design.

Respecting the owner’s wishes, we created a concept inspired by the famous local history, in a very fresh and modern way, aiming for the property to stand out among the competition.

Hotel Branding & Implementation
In order to have a fuller image of the Concept, we have created an initial branding for the new hotel that captures its feel and essence, and which must be taken into account during the design process. At the same time, we presented a series of indicative applications and implementations of the branding, in order to convey in a more tangible way the feeling that will be exuded during the hotel's visual communication.

Name Description
Epoch comes to us, via Medieval Latin, from Greek epochē, meaning "cessation" or "fixed point." "Epochē," in turn, comes from the Greek verb epechein, meaning "to pause" or "to hold back."
Epoch : an extended period of time usually characterized by a distinctive development or by a memorable series of events
Logo Description
The general sense of the design of the hotel logo is that of a very bright, light-colored and pleasant environment, which highlights modern, sustainable character that we want to emphasize.
