Elegia is far more than a simple hotel. It is a place to discover Tinos’s history and culture, taste simple and authentic yet upgraded food, relax and completely unwind while getting in touch with local nature, and experience the true meaning of luxury hospitality, that starts and ends with a big, warm, and heartfelt smile!
Elegia seamlessly integrates the concepts of Light, Wind, and Sound to create an immersive experience that revolves around local art and tradition, encapsulating them within every facet of the accommodation - from architecture and interior design, to the simple but delightful cuisine, music, authentic and genuine service, as well as the thoughtfully curated art experiences for its guests.
Hotel Typology
The first stage of our Services, which includes the Research & the Typology Study, helped the Hotel Owners take their final decisions regarding the hotel's Typology (type of property, room types, grounds, etc) and its main Features and Facilities, aiming to increase the hotel's ADR as well as its sales potentials from its various departments and services.
Hotel Experiences
During the Hotel Concept Development process, we specified the main idea and the narrative of the new hotel, which will allow it to stand out from the competition. At the same time, we specified all the new hotel's experiences, services, and operation model, in order to help the architectural and design teams to capture all the requirements for its final design.
Hotel Branding & Implementation
In order to have a fuller image of the Concept, we have created an initial branding for the new hotel that captures its feel and essence, and which must be taken into account during the design process. At the same time, we presented a series of indicative applications and implementations of the branding, in order to convey in a more tangible way the feeling that will be exuded during the hotel's visual communication.
Name Description
The chosen name of the property draws inspiration from the ancient Greek "Ελεγεία", which means all the poems that were written in the elegiac couplet. The word associatively refers to the music, the melody, the sound, the movement of speech in the air - elements that will characterize the whole philosophy of the new hotel, but also the customer's experience in it. Elegia, and therefore Art in all its forms, will be reflected in the design and decoration, but also in all the actions that the hotel will plan, in an effort to integrate its guests in a relaxed, comfortable and pleasant environment, far from the classic logic of 'luxury' hotels.
Logo Description
The logo of Elegia emerged from the combination of terms such as art, dance, local architecture, minimalism. The Arts have a strong presence in the property, so the art design depicts two human figures, of surreal aesthetics, dancing. The surrealism of the figures also refers to the impressively modern aesthetics of the ancient Cycladic figurines, since they borrow the form and the lines that we meet in these unique works of art.
Hotel Design
For the completion of the project, Destsetters collaborates with esteemed Architectural and Design teams, in the context of the thorough application of the concept to the overall experience, the correct specification of the anticipated operational needs, and the new hotel's commercial potentials. The Architectural & Design teams are selected by the investors/project owners and play an active part in the overall decisions regarding the development of the new property.
