The below text is a full description of the under development property, giving all the details regarding the hotel's story, concept, operation, and experiences, that will provide to its guests.
In the heart of Athens, where the historicity of Plaka meets the modern city right below the Acropolis, the new city hotel ÉSSÈ Athens presents a differentiated approach to accommodation that revolves around the pillars of Wellness and Mindfulness, while at the same time following the philosophy of modern hotels in major European urban centers. Focusing on creating a contemporary and technologically advanced experience, ÉSSÈ offers comfortable types of rooms with unique design, high-level facilities and services as well as a range of well-thought-out Wellness and Gastronomy experiences, in one of the safest and most easily accessible locations in the city.
The first stage of our Services, which includes the Research & the Typology Study, helped the Hotel Owners take their final decisions regarding the hotel's Typology (type of property, room types, grounds, etc) and its main Features and Facilities, aiming to increase the hotel's ADR as well as its sales potentials from its various departments and services.

Hotel Concept Development
During the Hotel Concept Development process, we specified the main idea and the narrative of the new hotel, which will allow it to stand out from the competition. At the same time, we specified all the new hotel's experiences, services, and operation model, in order to help the architectural and design teams to capture all the requirements for its final design.

Hotel Branding & Implementation
In order to have a fuller image of the Concept, we have created an initial branding for the new hotel that captures its feel and essence, and which must be taken into account during the design process. At the same time, we presented a series of indicative applications and implementations of the branding, in order to convey in a more tangible way the feeling that will be exuded during the hotel's visual communication.
The concept of Wellness and Wellbeing places the individual and their whole existence in the foreground. Thus, borrowing the Latin word "esse", which has come to mean 'existence' in English, we came up with a special, symmetrical, and very recognizable name for this hotel, which is completely representative of the Concept and its direction. The Latin root of the name is suggestive of the Romans’ love for thermal baths, which are considered the forerunner of spas. The Romans embraced and built on the legacy of the ancient Greeks, passing on the concept of physical and mental Wellness and Rejuvenation to the whole world.
The logo of ÉSSÈ Athens is inspired by the concept of Wellness, a central feature of the hotel concept. The design can be interpreted in different ways, either as an eye, i.e. the basic element of Human Existence, or as a silhouette of a human body enjoying the spa facilities and sense of relaxation that this hotel offers. The black marble that serves as the background connects the graphic design with the design philosophy that has already been followed and implemented in the hotel.
For the completion of the project, Destsetters collaborates with the Architectural and Design teams, in the context of the thorough application of the concept to the overall experience, the correct specification of the anticipated operational needs, and the new hotel's commercial potentials. The Architectural & Design teams are selected by the investors/project owners and play an active part in the overall decisions regarding the development of the new property.
